"As a mother/artist, I plan to continue to create inviting, playful environments for artistic play. In Mumbai--using the resources at hand, poetry, text, music, dance, visuals, text, tea--I will be present in the most primal, private and intimate aspect of my identity--mother.
I will lullaby angels and ancestors to walk by your side. My diaphragm will push out a deep rumbling laugh and you will feel: the sun firing your feet; the ocean cleansing you; the cellular praise song of the gravity holding your soul. I will give you a blessing even if it is the last one in my pocket. I will love, nurture and care for you. I will teach you to do this for yourself. And you will leave. I look forward to weeping and laughing."
